Fuddy Duddy was a duck who believed in a regular schedule. Every morning at 6:00 AM, he would waddle to the pond's edge, quack three times, and then wait for his two best friends, Daisy and Dillon, to join him.

Daisy was a smart duck with a penchant for sparkly things and a personality as bubbly as the water she splashes in. Dillon, on the other hand, was a quiet and yet optimistic duck who preferred to float serenely and observe the world. Despite their differences, they were inseparable.

One sunny afternoon, a new duck arrived at the pond. This duck, named Ziggy, was a whirlwind of disorganization. Ziggy didn't believe in schedules. He would swim backwards then dive headfirst into muddy banks while always randomly quacking. Fuddy Duddy was annoyed by Ziggy to say the least.

Daisy and Dillon, however, were captivated. Ziggy's carefree spirit was a breath of fresh air. They spent the day playing games and exploring the hidden areas of the pond, laughing at every turn. Fuddy Duddy watched from the shore, his feathers ruffled.

One evening, a storm rolled in. The wind howled and the rain poured down. The pond, usually calm, was a mess. Daisy and Dillon were caught in the middle, being pushed and pulled by the strong currents. Fuddy Duddy, seeing their bad situation, forgot all about his routine. He plunged into the bad weather, battling the waves to reach his friends.

With a loud quack, Fuddy Duddy guided them to a sheltered cove. As they huddled together, shivering but safe. Just then they all looked up to see Ziggy flying away in fear, he never returned.

After the storm passed, the three friends looked at Fuddy Duddy with newfound respect. He had broken his rules to save them, while Ziggy failed them in their time of need. Fuddy Duddy, in turn, realized that a little bit of spontaneity could be a good thing. From then on, their morning ritual changed. They still met at the pond at 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM and sometimes, instead of a simple quack, they would all quack at once, a joyful and chaotic chorus singing "I Want a New Duck” by “Weird Al” Yankovic, which then symbolized and celebrated their friendship. The End :)
